Ultra-fine 6″ foam-backed finishing disc designed for the final step before polishing. The 3M 30662 disc uses advanced Trizact™ abrasive technology—structured aluminum oxide micrograins that deliver a smooth, controlled cut while minimizing haze and swirl.

This is the fourth step in our clear coat finishing process. After leveling with 1000 grit by hand, refining with 2000 grit, and blending with 3000 grit Trizact, the 5000 disc is used to further reduce fine scratches and bring the surface extremely close to a polished finish. In many cases, it allows for quicker polishing with less compound and effort.

This disc should be used damp, not dry. Light misting improves performance, extends disc life, and reduces heat buildup. For best results, use with a dual-action polisher and a 6″ foam interface pad.
