3M Trizact™ Foam Disc – P3000 (02085)
Ultra-fine 6″ finishing disc designed to refine clear coat before polishing. The 3M 02085 disc features Trizact™ abrasive technology—structured aluminum oxide micrograins arranged in a uniform pattern—to produce a consistent, haze-free surface with minimal effort.

This is the third step in our finishing system. After flattening clear coat by hand with 1000 grit and refining with a 2000 grit Hookit™ disc, the P3000 Trizact disc is used to remove remaining sanding marks and prepare the surface for polishing. It significantly reduces compounding time and helps achieve a more uniform final finish.

This disc should be used damp, not dry. Light misting with water helps reduce heat, prevent loading, and extend disc life. For best results, use with your preferred dual-action polisher and a 6″ foam interface pad.

The next step after this is Trizact 5000, followed by polishing compound.
